Well, I’m just a girl living in the middle of Kansas, the middle of the good ol’ US of A and it just so happens that I have two children who both have “special needs”.
What does “special needs” mean? Well you should go read the blog posts to find that out, because, as you’ll see, it means something different to each and every person that deals with it.
What else is there to know about me? I’m in my 30’s, divorced but happily engaged in a great relationship that may or may not end in marriage……someday.
About 3……..no, 5 years ago I was hit by a drunk driver who did something like 3 days in jail for his 4th offense! Anyway, it basically ended my career as a cosmetologist (hair and nails) because, though the jury didn’t see it, my neck and shoulder are all screwy from the wreck. Some days I can’t lift my right arm for longer than to get a t-shirt on, and others I’m pretty much ok.
I’m a serial business start up mogul. Ok, maybe not mogul, but I have ideas all the time and several of them have actually gotten off the ground and done fairly well.
This blog and the radio show that goes with it, are an example of that.
If they made my life into a movie the title would be ” the rise and fall of calamity Jenn”. I’ve done my fair share of livin’.
Maybe you want to know why I do this. Everyday, I find out how very little I actually know about my children and their needs. Every day, I realise that I cannot do this on my own. And, I bet that there are hundreds, if not thousands of others just like me.
I bring you this blog and the radio show, not because I know something, but because I don’t.
