About Host Dawn

Hi all! My name is Dawn Klenow-Lampinen, and I am mom to 3 kids. Kaitlyn just turned 12, Kyle is 9, and Shae is nearly 4. I have an amazingly wonderful husband who supports me no matter what I want to take up next! He is the bioligical father of our youngest, but thinks of the other 2 kids as his own as well. Our chaotic home is also home to 5 cats, 1 dog, and 2 lizards.

Our daughter Kaitlyn was diagnosed with ADHD when she was in 2nd grade. We wrestled with the idea of putting her on medication, but ultimately decided to try, because she was having a tremendously hard time with her schoolwork and fitting in with her peers. Within a few weeks we had a totally different child on our hands! She was doing much better academically and socially!

Shae, our youngest has been diagnosed with asthma. She has been hospitalized several times, and we deal with breathing difficulties regularly. It is quite scary to watch such a small person have such a hard time breathing! We are hoping she will grow out of it! It doesn’t seem to be caused by all of our pet dander, for which I am extemely grateful! I don’t know what I’d do without our furry kids!

I also deal with arthritis on a day to day basis. I’ve had it since I was 12 years old. It has been a long struggle for me, and one that became even harder once I had kids. Many days are a struggle for me just to get out of bed in the morning, but they keep me going. They’ve taught me what it is to NOT give up when the going gets tough.

I own 2 home-based businesses, that take up most of my extra time. The first is a jewelry business, which I have pretty much put on the back burner since I started my packaging company…Packaged To Perfection.
